Hobbies
Outside academics and research, I enjoy activities that combine teamwork, creativity, communication, and leadership. To get a peek into how I think about life, feel free to check out my blog!
Basketball

Standing with my team and coach, as the proud captain of our first inter-IIT Gold winning team (after 57 years)
Basketball has been a key part of my life, ever since childhood. It has taught me discipline - waking up at 6 am for pratice in the winters, how to push myself - when you think you can’t possibly run anymore, running that extra lap and teamwork - how to understand different people, communicate effectively and come together to achieve a common goal. These learnings form the basis of my character on and even off court.
Keyboard

A part of the band performance, on EESA’s traditional day
I enjoy playing the keyboard and exploring music across different genres, and have cleared the Trinity Level 5 Keyboard exam with distinction. Music serves as both a creative outlet for me, and a way to unwind outside technical and academic work. I like figuring out the notes of my favourite songs and have my family guess the tune.
Public Speaking

Giving a talk to underpriveleged girls from south India, motivating them to pursue careers in STEM fields
I have actively participated in debating and public speaking activities, including involvement with the Core Consult group. These experiences helped me develop confidence in communication, structured thinking, and presenting my ideas clearly. Perhaps this is also the origin story behind my tendency to occasionally turn a quick point into a full-length presentation.
Event Organization

Organizing a murder mystery themed scavenger hunt (as a freshman) for over 100 participants
I enjoy organizing events and competitions that bring people together through teamwork, strategy, and curiosity. The most rewarding moment comes after all the planning is over - standing back and watching participants navigate the intricacies, fall for the traps, argue over theories, and finally experience that spark of triumph when things click into place.
Travelling

In Ahemdabad, Gujarat, for the T20 Mens World Cup Finals
I love exploring new places and trying out new things. If you enjoy spontaneous plans, long walks through unfamiliar streets, or conversations over good food in a new city, we’ll probably get along well!
